How does Menza connect to BigQuery?
You create a Google Cloud service account with the BigQuery Data Viewer and Job User roles and paste its JSON key into Menza. Menza stores the key encrypted and queries BigQuery live through Google's official API — no pipeline, and no data copied out of your warehouse.
Is the BigQuery connection read-only?
Yes, by construction. Menza only ever requests Google's read-only BigQuery scope, so inserts, updates, deletes, and schema changes are rejected by Google itself no matter what is asked. Menza reads your warehouse to answer questions and can never change it.
