Menza found £6,455/month bleeding from stockouts, then built a custom reorder system in one conversation
The Challenge
The Keto Shop was managing 380+ SKUs across 33 suppliers. Each supplier had different lead times (ranging from 3 to 100 days), minimum order quantities, case sizes, and payment terms. Some products were perishable and needed weekly ordering. Others came from overseas and required months of planning.
They knew stockouts were costing them sales, but couldn’t quantify the damage. Calculating accurate reorder points meant cross-referencing sales velocity, lead times, safety stock requirements, and supplier constraints across hundreds of products—work that would take days to do manually, and would need to be repeated every time they placed an order.
How Menza Helped
They asked Menza to “help me develop a highly accurate forecast for the daily average units sold per product. this is so that i can order stock efficently and accurately.”
Menza got to work. It pulled 90 days of sales data, calculated demand trends across multiple time windows, built a weighted forecasting model that prioritised recent sales patterns, and cross-referenced everything against the supplier terms the owner provided—lead times, MOQs, case sizes, payment terms.
What it found: 48 products were currently out of stock, costing the business £215 per day in lost revenue. Another 71 products had fallen below their reorder points and needed ordering immediately. The highest-risk items were perishable bakery products with short lead times that had slipped through the cracks.
Menza didn’t stop at diagnosis. It generated a complete reorder plan: £21,602 in stock investment, broken down by supplier, grouped by payment terms, with exact quantities rounded to case sizes and ready to send. Menza created a live dashboard showing inventory health and a forecasting model to predict future stockouts.
The Outcome
In one conversation, The Keto Shop went from “I think we have stockout problems” to having a live dashboard showing inventory health across every SKU, a prioritised list of what to order, and supplier-ready order sheets they could action immediately. The £6,455 monthly revenue leak was no longer invisible—it was quantified, explained, and fixable.
